As long as I can remember art was a huge part of my life, whether it was going to museums in Minneapolis, theatre productions and art events or going to the movies with my parents. An art education was fundamental in my upbringing. When I was twelve my parents opened an art gallery in our home, hosting art openings and shows of important artists. The art would arrive in crates from New York and then the public would appear for the openings.

When I create art one of my goals is to entertain the public, giving a sense of happiness and leaving them with a smile. Humor and irony are also an important element in my life and conveying that is essential.
